Yesterday I wanted to fix the MBR (Master Boot Record) of my PC. You usually need to do this step if you have a version of Linux installed on your computer and you have removed it.

You will find that you need to re-write your computer MBR file to be able to Install Microsoft Windows® again.

I surfed the net to find a solution for this problem. I found that if I can run the Recovery Console (attached with Windows XP), I will be able to execute the command fixmbr to rewrite the MBR file.

During the search I found this batch that creates a bootable recovery console CD so I can execute the fixmbr command
